Built from recovery.

Run by someone who's lived it.

Welcome to Nova Recovery Residence. My name is Marcellus Lewis — I'm the founder and director here, and I'm a person in long-term recovery.

My journey into sobriety began more than ten years ago. It hasn't always been a straight line. There have been real challenges along the way, including loss that brought me to my knees. But choosing recovery — and choosing it again, every time I had to — transformed every aspect of my life. That's not something I take lightly, and it's not something I keep to myself.

Nova Recovery Residence exists because of what I've learned on that road. I know what it feels like to need the right environment and not have it. I know what it feels like when someone shows up for you. I built this place to be that for someone else.

Addiction is a family disease. Recovery can be too.

Over the years, one of the things I've heard most often isn't from the person struggling — it's from the people who love them. The helplessness. The exhaustion. The desperate hope that something will finally work.

I understand that firsthand. And I want families to know: healing happens together. As the person in recovery gets sober and builds a real life, those relationships begin to heal too. That's not just a hope — it's something I've witnessed over and over again.

Nova Recovery Residence is designed to significantly increase the chances of long-term recovery through structure, accountability, and the kind of consistent, invested support that makes a real difference.

Our Approach

Consistent Structure & Routine

Daily habits that rebuild confidence, restore accountability, and develop the practical life skills that make sobriety sustainable

Peer-Driven Accountability

A community of residents who are all working toward the same goal. You're not doing this alone, and the people around you will hold you to that.

12-Step Integration & Support

Proven frameworks that give you the tools to build a life that's genuinely happy, joyous, and free — not just clean.

I'm here daily. Not managing from a distance — present, engaged, and invested in what's actually happening with each person in this house.

That's intentional and it's not changing.

About Marcellus

Marcellus Lewis grew up in Atlanta's West End, where resilience isn't just a word — it's the air you breathe. His path wasn't easy. For years, he battled addiction, going through the kind of quiet war where some days you feel unstoppable and other days you feel like the smallest person in the room.

Recovery started in an unlikely place: Fulton County Drug Court. In those rooms, surrounded by people trying to rebuild their lives, Marcellus began rebuilding his too. He poured himself into that work. And then, when he lost his father, grief hit hard enough to knock him back down. He relapsed for a year. But even in that darkness, he refused to destroy what he'd been building. He waited until he was ready to return to it.

On July 30, 2023, he kept that promise to himself.

Today, Marcellus holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is continuing his professional development in recovery support. He shows up for charity bike rides, steps onto stages for acting roles, and still answers midnight calls from people who feel lost the way he once did.

He founded Nova Recovery Residence because he knows what the right environment can do — and what the wrong one costs. He's seen the miracles that happen when someone gets the structure, community, and support they actually need. He's been one of those miracles himself.

Recovery is not a destination. It's a way of living that gives you back your future.

We only work with people who are ready. If that's you, let's talk.

Nova Recovery Residence admits residents who are dedicated to the goal of long-term recovery and sobriety. If you're at that point — or if you're a family member trying to find the right next step for someone you love — we want to hear from you.
